To fulfill the mission of global public welfare development in general health and implement the Association’s long-term plan for empowering the global health industry, relying on the Association’s qualifications as an NGO in consultative status with the UN Economic and Social Council, access to the UN Partner Portal and resource advantages of the UN Global Marketplace (UNGM), the launch of the World Health Grand Award (abbreviated as WHGA) has been fully approved by all members of the Association’s First Council. Meanwhile, the full version of Regulations Governing the Selection of World Health Grand Award is hereby issued. The Association will carry out regular global honor evaluation activities targeting the health sector. Relevant matters are announced as follows:

I. Background and Strategic Positioning of the Award
World Health Industry Association (WHIA) is an international non-profit public welfare organization duly registered in Colorado, USA, holding consultative NGO status with the UN Economic and Social Council, access qualification for the UN Partner Portal and registration accreditation within the UN Global Marketplace. Long committed to global public welfare initiatives in general health, the Association has initiated three core programs under the UN framework: UN Global Health & Human Wellbeing Initiative, UN Global Health Action · Industrial Coordinated Development Program, and UN Holistic Health Governance · Sustainable Development Project.

The World Health Grand Award is launched to identify and honor institutions, brands, products, technologies and frontline practitioners worldwide that deliver sustained tangible value to health development. It builds exclusive channels for outstanding health entities to access resources within the UN system, and aligns closely with Goal 3 of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Good Health and Well-being. As a non-profit global honor evaluation program hosted by the Association, the Award adheres to independence, objectivity and impartiality as core selection principles, striving to build a globally credible honor system for the health industry.

The core philosophy of the Award inherits the classic definition laid down in the UN Charter: Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. Instead of focusing superficially on forms of products and services, the evaluation centers on long-term practical contributions made by candidates to improving public health and people’s quality of life, forming the core evaluation logic of this Award.

II. Organizational Structure of the Evaluation Panel
In accordance with the Association’s internal Corporate Bylaws, a dedicated Evaluation Committee for the World Health Grand Award is established under the leadership of the Association Council. The Committee assumes overall responsibility for formulating evaluation criteria, recruiting expert panelists, organizing quarterly evaluations, verifying evaluation results and publishing winner shortlists throughout the entire award cycle. Composed of core members from the Association’s internal specialized committees and distinguished external industry experts recruited globally, the Committee regularly invites senior specialists from the WHO Strategic and Technical Advisory Group, renowned scholars in international public health and experts from top overseas research institutions to participate in final reviews, ensuring global vision, professionalism and impartiality of the evaluation process.
