WHIA adheres to a modern governance system for international nonprofit organizations, establishing an organizational framework with clear roles, well-defined responsibilities, and efficient operations to fully support the Association's global strategy implementation, daily operations, and resource integration.
Organizational Structure
The Association consists of six core bodies, each with its own duties, operating in coordination:
Board of Directors – The supreme governing body, composed of distinguished representatives from the global health industry. Responsible for formulating medium-and long-term development strategies, reviewing major decisions, and approving annual work plans and financial budgets.
Secretariat – The permanent administrative and service body. Responsible for daily administration, partnership maintenance, brand promotion, qualification applications, and archive management.
Advisory Committee – Brings together global researchers, industry experts, and policy advisors to provide authoritative consultation and guidance on the Association's strategic planning, major initiatives, and professional matters.
Executive Committee – The highest executive body. Implements resolutions of the Board of Directors and the Advisory Committee, coordinates international resource connections, oversees external exchanges and cooperation, and ensures daily operational delivery.
Review Committee – An independent third-party Review body. Adhering to principles of fairness and impartiality, it reviews the qualifications of enterprises, brands, and individuals seeking inclusion in the Association's programs, upholding an open and accessible evaluation standard without rankings or tiers.
Professional Committees – Established in areas such as medical services, rehabilitation and wellness, traditional Chinese medicine, maternal and child health, biopharmaceuticals, medical devices, health management, mental health, sports health, elderly care services, health foods, digital health, health tourism, public health, anti – aging and aesthetic medicine, wellness and preventive care, and industrial support. These committees conduct industry research, professional evaluations, award assessments, and academic exchanges.
International Think Tank
The Association brings together top global researchers, industry experts, and thought leaders to form a specialized international think tank. The team conducts cutting-edge research on the global health industry, publishes authoritative industry reports, and leads the development of internationally influential industry standards and guidelines.
The Think Tank is permanently open to global applicants, accepting self-nominations and industry recommendations of leading experts.
